Human Resources Manager

Melinda Mier joined Great Lakes Environmental & Infrastructure in April of 2012 with more than 12 years of Human Resource experience in both the government and private sector. Her responsibilities include overseeing, managing and implementing the organization’s HR programs and policies as they apply to employee relations, compensation, counseling, benefits, claims investigations, safety, performance, job classifications, staff training and development, data analysis, salary evaluations, employee retention and staffing levels. She also manages recruiting efforts for key management positions throughout the United States and ensures we are legally compliant with local, state and federal law.


Prior to Great Lakes E&I, Melinda was assigned as the military Personnelist in charge of the Commander’s Support Staff, Intelligence Support Squadron, Beale AFB. She has deployed more than 1500 troops in support of various military operations throughout the globe. Her military experience gave her a vast understanding of what it takes to mobilize employees to various jobsites throughout the country, making her an excellent fit for Great Lakes E&I’s national presence.  Melinda continues to serve her country as a Reservist in the Air Force Reserve.
